Throughout time and over various cultures, humans have used fibers in similar ways to construct a variety of objects. This exhibit utilizes over 80 pieces from the Museum's permanent collection to examine how similar construction methods have been used to create vastly different objects.

Exposition : Bouchardon (1698-1762), Une idée du beau (du 14 Septembre 2016 au 5 Décembre 2016)
Edme Bouchardon fut considéré de son temps comme un artiste d’exception. Présentant près de 270 oeuvres et organisée avec le Getty Museum à Los Angeles, cette exposition sera la première monographie d’envergure réalisée autour de son oeuvre et l’occasion de souligner qu’il fut l’un des principaux protagonistes du néoclassicisme.

A partir du deuxième semestre 2015, la cour Louis XIV s’offrira à nouveau au regard des visiteurs du musée Carnavalet – Histoire de Paris. Les sculptures de Jean Goujon ornant les façades de la cour révèleront l’éclat et la finesse de leurs traits que les années avaient ternis.
