Description: “The Cantor Art Center's exhibit 'Warriors, Courtiers, and Saints: The Etchings of Jacques Callot' examines the 17th-century French artist's experimental work in the medium of printmaking."
When: Wednesday-Monday, Aug. 26-Feb. 15, 2016, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday til 8 p.m.
Where: Cantor Arts Center, 328 Lomita Drive, Stanford, CA
Remi Mathis says "This is the second venue of our project after "A Kingdom of Images" at the Getty this summer. The BnF exhibition is larger (170 prints), with a very nice scenography."

Field of specialization: French literature pre-1800 and/or modern French thought (i.e., French theory, broadly understood). Applicants need not combine these fields, but those who do are strongly preferred. All applicants should have a Ph.D. in French, Comparative Literature, or a related field, and have native or near-native fluency in French.
